Beginning a new life!

Jaelynn Rebecca McEnany was adopted from Boyarka Orphanage in Ukraine on May 24, 2001. She had a unilateral cleft lip and palate and was small for her age (5th percentile.)
This is the story of her new life with my family.

On this home page, I'll put some of my favorite pictures and give some general information about how we're all doing. It will also chronicle the repair of her lip and palate and her adjustment to life in the family rather than the orphanage.

Jae is now beginning to crawl, and pull up to cruise the furniture. She babbles a little, and laughs, mostly at the cat and her sister. She is a sweet if fiesty little one and the joy of our house.

Weight, Length, and Head at first US Check-up, 6/1/01: 13 lbs, 25.25 in, 16.25 in
Weight, Length, and Head on 7/18 2d checkup:
18 lbs, 27 in, and 17 in
weight is 18 lbs 7 oz on 8/30
She grows by leaps and bounds!
Update: 10/24 Jaelynn finally cut her first tooth and is starting to walk! She says MAMA alot but not much else.
