Seeking Baby "J"

First an Introduction. My name is Robin and I am a 44 year old registered nurse and single mother of a wonderful daughter, age 5, named Breannen. I always planned on more children but never had the time. Now, it is the time and I have the resources so I will begin the journey to find my distant child. Breannen, being the practical minded girl that she is, decided that if we find a girl, her name will be Jaelynn Rebecca and if we find a boy, he will be Jason Ryan, hence...Baby J.

This journey actually began long before I traveled to Ukraine to adopt the baby. I began the process in March of 2000. After several false starts, I found Cathy Harris's website and actually began the fantastic, and sometimes frustrating, paperwork chase. I finished the paperwork and sent my dossier off to Ukraine on March 19, 2001 and received a travel date of May 12, 2001. Then the waiting began. I packed everything except the kitchen sink and had to revise the suitcases several times. At the end of this site, I will include a list of what I packed as well as a commentary on what I needed more or less of during my journey. As the travel day arrived, every thing was finished and ready for the trip.
